The story behind SHIRL Doodle Life…

Shirl, short for Shirley, was one of the greatest women I have ever known.  She was my grandmother.  My papa always called her Shirl, and with the help of my sister, we came up with SHIRL Doodle Life for the name of my dog breeding business.  SHIRL was a selfless, humble, incredible, radiant, loving human being who was always kind and had a soul of gold.  SHIRL unfortunately passed away from Alzheimer’s in early 2022.  
 
My hope is that I can bring joy to others through puppy breath and tiny paws, just as these things brought joy to my grandmother in her last years. She loved to hold newborn puppies and was the best puppy cuddler on the face of this planet.
